OUR APPROACH
Early Identification:
Early assessment is considered to provide the optimum opportunity for identification of disability for the most children. Identifying disabilities early can pave the way for children to get the support they need to experience successful futures both in and out of school. Knowing the early warning signs that put young children at risk for and understanding normal developmental milestones helps with early diagnosis and intervention.
Early Intervention:
FRSD promotes early intervention as the best way to support the development and wellbeing of children with disability, autism or other additional needs including developmental delay. It can help children develop the skills they need to take part in everyday activities. Sometimes children who get early intervention need less or no support as they get older.
Education:
FRSD provides all round special educational and therapeutic inputs to the children with disabilities. Run on the lines of a school, Individualized Educational Programmes (IEP) are drawn up for each child and periodically evaluated. Education is of great importance for children with disabilities, because it gives them the opportunity to get quality education in line with their unique needs.
Career Guidance:
Inspiring individuals with disabilities to achieve their dreams through education and employment. FRSD provides career guidance to its students as well as persons with disabilities as part of its approach to Rehabilitation.
Skill Development:
Providing vocational training and employment opportunities for persons with disabilities is a critical element for enhancing the quality of life for individual with disability and their families. FRSD provides activities to develop their prevocational training and skill development trainings. Organizes short term skill development activities and link with other NGOs for training programs.
